Greetings.

Welcome to The Biblical Matrix.

It is my sincere desire that God be honored by everything that is said and accomplished on this blog. I believe that the Scriptures clearly teach that it is God's desire to make Himself known. If we do not see or understand the truth of God the fault is not His, but ours. Through The Biblical Matrix may we all get to know Him better.

Monday

I start my day at about 5am. No matter what time I go to bed, I ususally wake up at about 5am. I like mornings because it's quiet and I can get a lot done.

I spend some time letting God speak to me then get about sending out a daily email to my church family and friends which I call "For your consideration."

Yesterday's message at church was about "Small Prayers." Taken from the book of Ruth, it was about how many of our prayers are short-sighted. God, who sees the big picture, wants to do the "exceedingly, abundantly, more" than we usually ask, or think for that matter. It was a great Word.

Our dance team ministers every first Sunday. They were awesome again. I absolutely love to see them worshipping God like that. Worship. That's what it's all about for me.

  1. Just thinking about your reference to worship on my blog in addition to this one, I am remembering some pretty weighty worship that I experienced with the CCO (campus ministry organization). It wasn't my "favorite" style of worship, but it was both God adoring as well as tranformative because of the powerful lyrics and theology that drove the worship songs. Is that kind of what you are hoping for, when worship to God becomes central to our time above and beyond our other agendas for the day, while at the same time shaping a people into His image???

  2. Yeah, I think you're feeling me. We have a lot to get accomplished when we come together. I just wish more of it was about what we can give to God and do for others rather than what "can you do for me." I've heard worship described as "All of who I am, responding to all of who God is, empowered and motivated by His Spirit." I like that.

I wrote a skit once about a drive through church. It was like a McDonald's drive through where you could order what you wanted from the menu: "hold the condemnation, and extra excitement please." One doesn't like hymns, and another doesn't like contempo P&W. How about what God likes for a change? Thanks for checkin' in.
